The picanogfx news feed! 3D, Catgirls, Explosives, and Raccoons --- what more could a guy want? Sun, 23 Apr 2017 01:01:01 GMT en-us If only I had RL admin powers~ -picano Sun, 23 Apr 2017 01:01:01 GMT Started off strong with this render, but eventually slacked on the background. Fortunately, I had already planned to use heavy depth blurring~

Clothing physics is still a massive pain, even though I just used it for Chime's skirt.

So much rendering... -picano Sun, 16 Apr 2017 01:01:01 GMT Here's a bit of an experimental render. I didn't put too much detail in to the scene itself... fortunately... because it took ages upon ages to render. I just wanted to see if I could do a good perspective 3D render from behind glasses --- and well, I can, but faking it would have been so much faster. (And well, I did end up overlaying some fakiness to get rid of the cycles noise)

Also, the original title of this was going to just be "blurry" --- but upon searching for a good word to use when posting to pixiv, I stumbled upon "bleary" which actually fits better.

Got faith? -picano Sun, 9 Apr 2017 01:01:01 GMT So... this render was interesting. I spent all week on the background and only finished modeling the main focus after midnight and the actual texture work for it this morning. --- Despite that, I'm fairly happy with how it came out.

Anyway, if you haven't seen it already, Saga of Tanya the Evil is a pretty good anime. I hope it gets a 2nd season~

Joke not found -picano Sun, 2 Apr 2017 01:01:01 GMT I updated Lana a bit (not enough to be considered V2) and finally gave her a render of her own~ It's nothing too fancy (in fact, I put maybe 15 minutes into the scenery) but it looks cool, right?

Time for a switch~ -picano Sun, 26 Mar 2017 01:01:01 GMT This is cool, right?

I spent most of this week making a model of the Swich console + joycons and figured it would only be appropriate to have my beloved catgirls play my favorite game, Bomberman! Well... I didn't really start organizing the scene until Saturday. It's very well organized: everything is separated into the appropriate groups and it's easy to turn on / off stuff as is needed to fix specific sections. I... just didn't have enough time to perform all the various fixes while I had time to re-render --- many clothing problems ended up fixed with lazy 2D manipulations~

Not sure what I'll do next week, but I'll try to decide (and start) early on while still giving myself Switch and reading time~
